Vishal & Chetna's story
It was destiny for us, found each other through families and everything with us just clicked and felt right.
We belong to a Marwadi Indian family and we would love to have you at our wedding, come and see how we celebrate us and every ritual and tradition up close! And oh what fun it is, also you cannot miss out on our cuisine.
Day 1Thursday, December 11, 2025Nagpur

Grithpaan
This is a traditional ritual where both bride and groom side of the family feed a bite of ghee to them(which is actually very healthy) and items and jewellery are exchanged, gifts are given.
Haldi carnival
This is a fun filled ceremony where all the loved ones apply turmeric(Haldi) to the bride and groom, and there is a carnival going on where there is an anchor and the bride and groom’s sides are on opposite teams and they play fun games. There’ll be stalls( unique stuff) and a lot of tasty food, there’ll be a lot of dancing. It’ll be very colourful.
Mayra
This is the ceremony for the mothers of bride and the groom, where Brothers of the respective mothers get a lot of gifts for them before which the mothers invite everyone to come join in for the wedding. It’s a lovely tradition.
Sangeet
The most happening events of the entire wedding festivities where there’ll be dances on both the sides of the families. All the members have their own songs they dance to all Bollywood Hollywood, which ever songs. there’ll be a Dj player and disco fun, beautiful decorations and a lot of food. The weather might get a bit chilly so dress accordingly and come have fun with us.

Baarat
This is when the groom gets on a horse to get his Bride, to go to her. The baarat side dances and reaches the brides place where they are welcomed and then both bride and groom exchange Garlands and sit for the main ceremony where they get married. It’s the most iconic and the most beautiful thing to witness in an Indian wedding.
Reception
This will be the last event of the wedding festivities, post marriage, both bride and groom are greeted by everyone, and everyone congratulates them and give them gifts or money or anything, and that’s the end of it. Then the bride goes off to the groom‘s house, leaving her house behind.
The food in this event will be traditional and proper Indian food.
