Tilak& Rishta
One of the beautiful traditions in North Indian weddings is the “Tilak” ceremony, which marks the official acceptance of the relationship between both families. In this ritual, the bride’s family visits the groom’s home or the event venue to bless the groom and formally celebrate the beginning of the wedding festivities.
The ceremony usually includes traditional rituals, exchange of gifts, sweets, music, dancing, and a joyful family gathering. It is a special moment where both families come together with love, respect, and happiness before the wedding celebrations begin.
In Indian culture, “Rishta” means the bond and relationship created not only between the bride and groom, but also between two families who become connected for life. These traditions beautifully represent togetherness, emotions, and family values.

Main Day of weeding
The main wedding day in a North Indian wedding is full of energy, emotions, traditions, DJ music, and nonstop celebrations. The day usually begins with the “Bhaat” ceremony, where family members gather to give blessings, gifts, and celebrate together.
In the evening, guests enjoy delicious Indian food, dance performances, and a lively party atmosphere. One of the most exciting moments is the “Baraat,” where the groom arrives with family and friends dancing on DJ music and traditional drums in a grand celebration.
After the welcome, the bride and groom exchange flower garlands during the “Jaimala” ceremony, symbolizing love and acceptance. Finally, the couple takes the sacred “Phere” around the holy fire, making lifelong promises of love, trust, and togetherness according to Indian tradition. ✨🇮🇳
