About the hosts
Karthik & Subathra's story
We met in 2017 during our school days, where our journey began as a simple friendship that slowly grew into something deeper over time. As life took us on different paths, we spent nearly five years in a long-distance relationship, supporting each other through studies, career beginnings, and personal growth. Once we both started working and felt settled in life, we shared our relationship with our families, who welcomed our decision with love and support. Today, we are excited to celebrate our union through a traditional South Indian Hindu wedding in Kanyakumari, blending Tamil and Trivandrum traditions. We warmly invite you to be part of this meaningful family celebration, to witness ancient rituals, experience local culture, and share in a moment that represents patience, commitment, and togetherness.

Wedding
The wedding ceremony is the most sacred and meaningful part of the celebration, conducted according to traditional South Indian Hindu customs. It takes place during an auspicious time known as the muhurtham and is guided by Vedic chants and rituals performed by a priest. The ceremony includes symbolic rituals that represent unity, commitment, and the joining of two families, with sacred fire as a witness. Guests are invited to observe these rituals respectfully, experience the spiritual atmosphere, and witness traditions that have been practiced for centuries. The ceremony is calm, deeply cultural, and followed by blessings and a traditional South Indian meal.
Reception
The reception is a celebratory gathering where family, friends, and guests come together to congratulate the newly married couple. Unlike the wedding ceremony, this event is relaxed and social, with opportunities to interact, take photographs, enjoy music, and share good wishes. Guests can experience Indian hospitality through traditional food, vibrant décor, and a joyful atmosphere. It is the perfect moment to celebrate together, meet the families, and conclude the wedding festivities on a cheerful note.
