Aravind & Pooja's story
Do not be a tourist! Two individuals from opposite ends of Kerala found each other in Dubai—brought together not by chance, but through tradition, shared values, and destiny. Though we worked in the same company, we never met until a matrimony website connected us. Coming from conservative families, horoscope matching became our first step. Once our charts aligned, conversations began—growing into trust, friendship, and eventually a quiet, beautiful love. With our families’ blessings, we now celebrate our union through ceremonies reflecting Kerala’s cultural richness. On 18 May at 5:30 AM, we begin with the sacred Thalikettu at Guruvayur Temple, followed by a cultural celebration in Tirur featuring Kathakali and Mohiniyattam, and an intimate Sangeet by the Kozhikode beach. The previous morning, we honour tradition with a Dakshina ceremony. The festivities conclude with a grand reception in Trivandrum on 22 May. Our story is simple, sincere, and rooted in destiny and shared values.

Thalikett
Wedding
Following this divine ceremony, the celebrations move to my hometown, Tirur in Malappuram district, nestled in the heart of the Malabar region. Tirur, with its rich cultural heritage, will host a function for about 500 close family members and friends. This event will feature Kathakali, one of Kerala's most iconic art forms, along with a graceful Mohiniyattam classical dance performance.
Sangeet
On the same evening, we will have an intimate Sangeet ceremony at my residence near the Kozhikode beach. While Sangeet is traditionally a North Indian custom, we wanted to blend modern celebrations with our regional traditions. It will be a night filled with music, dance, laughter, and cherished moments shared with our loved ones.
Dakshina
The celebrations begin even before the wedding day. On 17th May, the previous morning, we invite our guests to the auspicious Dakshina ceremony at my residence. During this ritual, we seek the blessings of elders for a prosperous and harmonious married life.

Reception
The festivities then extend to the groom’s hometown. On 22nd May, we will host a grand reception in Trivandrum, welcoming around 750 guests from his side of the family and friends. Trivandrum, the cultural capital of Kerala, is renowned for its vibrant traditions, timeless architecture, and warm, welcoming people.
