Renik & Doniya's story
Hi there! We’re Renik and Doniya—but we go by Nik and Niya. We’re so excited to celebrate our wedding with people from all around the world. Our story began thanks to a mutual friend, Edwin, who went to college with Niya. One evening, he decided to play cupid and sent Niya Nik’s Instagram profile, hyping him up as a super chill and genuinely nice guy. He felt we were quite alike—social, friendly, and easygoing—and he was convinced we’d get along well. He wasn’t wrong.Soon after, our contacts were shared and conversations began. What started as a simple introduction slowly turned into smthng meaningful, filled with laughter, comfort, and connection. We’re both Engineers by profession. Niya is 29, Nik is 35, and together we love exploring places and culture. Our wedding is more than a ceremony—it’s a celebration of love and togetherness.Come celebrate, laugh, dance, and make memories with us at the #NIKIYAWEDDING.Strangers are just friends we haven’t met yet—and we can’t wait to meet you 🤍.

Haldi
This ceremony involves applying a paste made from turmeric, sandalwood, and other natural ingredients to the bride and groom.Turmeric is believed to bring good luck, prosperity, and positive energy, while also blessing the couple with a healthy and glowing start to their married life. Family members and close friends take turns applying the haldi, showering the couple with love, laughter, and well wishes. The ceremony is vibrant and playful, often filled with music, teasing, and candid moments. Yellow décor, traditional attire, and joyful chaos make this one of the most fun and relaxed celebrations of the wedding festivities. The Haldi ceremony marks the beginning of the wedding celebrations and sets a joyful tone for the days ahead. We invite you to join us, get a little messy, share some laughs, and celebrate love, tradition, and togetherness with us.
It ends with a pool party, music ,dances and games.
Madhuram Veppu
Madhuram Veppu is a beautiful and symbolic pre-wedding ritual rooted in South Indian Christian traditions. The name literally means “placing sweetness,” and the ceremony represents the beginning of a sweet and harmonious married life.During this ritual, the bride and groom are offered something sweet—usually jaggery, sugar, or a traditional sweet—symbolizing love, happiness, and the promise of sweetness in their journey together. Elders from both families bless the couple, wishing them prosperity, understanding, and a life filled with joy. This ceremony is intimate and meaningful, focusing on family bonds, blessings, and the emotional union of two families coming together. It marks an important moment where the wedding preparations officially begin, setting a positive and auspicious tone for the celebrations ahead.Madhuram Veppu reminds us that marriage is not just about grand celebrations, but also about cherishing small, meaningful traditions that emphasize love and togetherness.

Wedding
A Syro-Malabar Christian wedding is a sacred and joyful celebration of love, faith, and family traditions in Kerala. The ceremony takes place in a church as a Holy Mass, blending Malayalam and English so that all guests can follow the prayers, readings, and blessings. The Mass represents the couple’s lifelong commitment to each other before God and the community, and it forms the spiritual heart of the wedding. One of the most important rituals is the tying of the Thali. The Thali is a gold pendant with a cross, which the groom ties around the bride’s neck. It symbolizes love, fidelity, protection, and the sacred bond of marriage. Another meaningful tradition is the Manthrakodi , a special saree gifted by the groom to the bride. It signifies the bride’s new role as a married woman and her welcoming into the groom’s family, marking the beginning of a shared journey. The wedding also includes exchanging rings, prayers, and blessings, bringing together families, friends, and loved ones.
