Mayank & Shreya's story
A boy from Bhopal and a girl born in Dehradun, raised across India in an army family, first crossed paths in a Latin dance class in Gurgaon. What began with steps of salsa and bachata grew into a bond shaped by five years of dancing, learning rhythm, trust and balance together. He is a software engineer, and she is a practising psychologist. They come from different worlds: his family follows Buddhist traditions while hers follows Sanatan Dharma. Their families differed in caste, expectations and mindsets, yet through four years of love, challenges and honest conversations, they chose each other every time. At 31, we are still learning, growing and filling life with patience, adventure and humour. Our wedding, set in an exquisitely planned and warmly elegant setting, is more than our union. It is a celebration with everyone who has been part of our journey. We cannot wait to share laughter, happy tears and unforgettable moments with you, because happiness is real only when shared.

Buddhist Wedding Ceremony
A serene and meaningful celebration rooted in calm, compassion and simplicity. The ceremony begins with prayers, blessings and chants by the monks, creating an atmosphere of peace. The couple offers flowers, candles and incense as symbols of purity, clarity and wisdom, followed by a sacred vow-taking ritual. Family members participate with blessings and good wishes, honouring tradition and togetherness. It’s a tranquil, soulful moment that marks the start of a mindful and harmonious journey for the couple.
Modern Sanatan Wedding Ceremony (3:00 PM)
The Sanatan ceremony beautifully blends heritage with contemporary values. Instead of traditional customs like kanyadaan, the couple honours an equal partnership where both families bless their union without giving anyone “away.” The rituals take place in a serene, open setting where fire, flowers, and sacred mantras create an atmosphere of warmth and purity. Rather than following the older patriarchal versions of the saat vachan, the couple takes modern vows—promises of respect, companionship, shared responsibility, and lifelong growth. They walk around the sacred fire as equals, committing to a marriage built on love, balance, and mutual support. This ceremony becomes a moment of harmony between tradition and modernity, celebrating not just marriage, but a partnership where two individuals choose each other freely and walk forward together.
The Reception (8:00 PM)
The reception evening is a grand celebration where elegance meets heartfelt joy. Set under open skies with warm lights, the night brings together family, friends, and loved ones from both sides to honour the newlyweds. Guests arrive dressed in their finest, the ambience glowing with jewel tones, soft florals, and a touch of royal charm. A lavish dinner spread, soulful music, and a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere create the perfect setting for conversations, blessings, and beautiful memories. With laughter, photographs, and toasts, it becomes an evening where two families truly come together, not just to witness a marriage, but to celebrate a love that overcame differences and found harmony.
