Haldi Ceremony
The Haldi ceremony is a joyful pre-wedding ritual where a turmeric-based paste is applied to the bride and groom by family and friends. This tradition symbolizes purification, protection from negative energies, and blessings for a prosperous marriage. Turmeric’s natural properties enhance the couple’s glow, while music, dance, and laughter create a festive atmosphere. In some customs, the couple stays indoors after the ceremony to avoid bad luck. The vibrant yellow of haldi represents happiness and prosperity, setting a blessed tone for the wedding celebrations.
Mehandi Ceremony
The Mehendi ceremony is a vibrant pre-wedding ritual in Hindu weddings, celebrating love, beauty, and good fortune. The bride’s hands and feet are adorned with intricate henna designs, symbolizing joy, prosperity, and protection from evil. The darker the henna stain, the stronger the bond is believed to be between the couple. Female relatives and friends also get mehendi applied, accompanied by music, dance, and festivities. The bride’s mehendi often includes the groom’s initials, hidden within the patterns for him to find. The ceremony fosters excitement and unity, marking the beginning of wedding celebrations with laughter, song, and tradition.

Sangeet Ceremony
The Sangeet ceremony is a lively pre-wedding celebration in Hindu weddings, filled with music, dance, and joy. Traditionally held a day or two before the wedding, it brings together both families to celebrate the union through performances, laughter, and fun competitions. Family and friends prepare special dance routines, often reenacting the couple’s love story, while professional DJs or live musicians create an energetic atmosphere. The event symbolizes happiness, bonding, and the blending of two families. With dazzling décor, traditional outfits, and a festive mood, the Sangeet is a night of pure entertainment and unforgettable memories.
Baraat Procession
The Baraat procession is a grand and joyous wedding tradition in Hindu weddings, marking the groom’s arrival at the wedding venue. The groom, dressed in regal attire, rides a decorated horse, elephant, or luxury car, accompanied by his family and friends dancing to lively music played by a band or DJ. The procession is filled with energy, as guests celebrate with fireworks, dhol beats, and vibrant colors. The groom is often welcomed by the bride’s family at the entrance in a ritual called Milni, symbolizing the union of both families. The Baraat represents the groom’s journey to claim his bride, filled with festivity, excitement, and tradition.
