About the hosts
Vasu & Pallavi's story
Our journey began through a mutual family friend, bringing Pallavi and me together in a beautiful arranged marriage rooted in shared values and traditions. Both our families are semi-orthodox, believing in the balance of culture, respect, and modern outlooks. I am 30 years old and work as an international pharmaceutical export professional, while Pallavi is an M.Com graduate with a strong academic background. What started as a family introduction soon grew into mutual understanding, respect, and a shared vision for life, leading us to take this meaningful step together.

Reception
A South Indian wedding reception is a vibrant celebration of culture, tradition, and togetherness. Guests are welcomed into a beautifully decorated venue adorned with flowers, lamps, and rich traditional motifs. The evening is filled with classical music, heartfelt blessings, and an elaborate spread of authentic South Indian cuisine served with great care and warmth. It is a joyful gathering where family, friends, and well-wishers come together to celebrate the union. As the night unfolds, the celebrations continue with the Haldi ceremony, an auspicious ritual where turmeric paste is applied to bless the couple with prosperity, health, and happiness. This is followed by a few intimate traditional rituals, performed in the presence of close family, marking the spiritual beginning of the wedding festivities and adding a deeply meaningful touch to the late-night celebration.

Wedding
Our wedding follows the rich and regal traditions of the Gowdas community, a proud lineage deeply rooted in the history of Karnataka. We belong to the community of Sri Nadaprabhu Kempegowdaru, the visionary founder who built and shaped Bengaluru. Gowdas weddings are known for their deep respect for heritage, values, and rituals passed down through generations, reflecting strength, unity, and cultural pride. A Gowdas wedding is also a celebration of refined luxury and grandeur. From elaborate floral décor and traditional silk attire to carefully curated rituals and an indulgent spread of authentic South Indian cuisine, every element reflects elegance and prosperity. The wedding blends time-honored customs with a sense of royal sophistication, creating an experience that is both culturally rich and luxuriously memorable for every guest.
