Dipak & Priya's story
Ten Years, One Promise Our story began in church, where faith brought two hearts together. Priya first noticed my smile and style, and soon love found its way between us. On her birthday, I gifted her a silver ring — a small token that sealed our bond. Days later, she proposed, and after three days, I said “yes,” beginning a journey that changed our lives. We shared endless talks, bike rides, dinners, and dreams. After college, Priya moved to Pune for her studies, and I followed soon after. Through distance, time, and challenges, our love only grew stronger. And now, after ten beautiful years of laughter, memories, and faith, we’re turning our love story into forever. On 21st December 2026, we’ll say “I do” — completing a decade-long promise written by love and blessed by God. God. A love that began in a church… and will last for a lifetime.

Engagement
The Maharashtrian Christian engagement ceremony is a joyful blend of faith and tradition. The event begins with prayers and blessings from the elders, followed by the pastor leading a short thanksgiving prayer. The couple then exchanges rings, symbolizing their promise of love and commitment before God and family. Traditional Maharashtrian customs, like offering sweets and gifts, add warmth and cultural charm. Family members bless the couple, and the celebration continues with music, laughter, and fellowship. It’s a beautiful moment where two hearts, two families, and two faith-filled journeys unite to begin their path toward marriage.
Haladi Ceremony
The Maharashtrian Haladi ceremony is a joyful pre-wedding ritual filled with color, laughter, and blessings. Turmeric paste, symbolizing purity and good fortune, is applied to the bride and groom by family and friends. The ceremony usually takes place at home or in a festive setting, accompanied by traditional songs, dancing, and cheerful teasing. The bright yellow halad is believed to bring a natural glow and protect the couple from negativity before marriage. Dressed in yellow attire, surrounded by love and laughter, the bride and groom begin their wedding celebrations with this beautiful and auspicious tradition.
Wedding Ceremony
A Maharashtrian Christian wedding beautifully blends faith and tradition. The ceremony begins in the church with prayers, hymns, and blessings from the priest. The bride, in an elegant white gown, and the groom, in a classic suit, exchange vows and rings before God, family, and friends. The atmosphere fills with joy as the couple is declared husband and wife. After the ceremony, everyone gathers for a lively celebration — with Marathi songs, dance, and traditional Christian feast. It’s a heartfelt union of love, culture, and faith, where two souls begin their lifelong journey with God’s grace.
