Satyam & Satish's story
Every beautiful journey begins with a simple step, and ours started with the love and blessings of our families. This is a heartwarming arranged marriage that brought us together. When our families first met, there was an instant sense of warmth and connection. As we spent time talking and understanding each other, we discovered that our values and outlook on life are quite similar. At the ages of 28 and 25, this bond became a new beginning for both of us. With mutual respect and trust, we decided to move forward together. We believe marriage is not just a union of two people, but of two families, and we are grateful for their love and support. We warmly invite you to join us on 13th May and be a part of our special day. Your presence will mean a lot to us.

Haldi
In a traditional Bihar wedding, the Haldi ceremony on the groom’s side is full of joy, rituals, and fun. The groom wears yellow attire, and family members apply a turmeric paste (haldi, curd, and oil) on his face, hands, and feet as a symbol of purity, blessings, and good luck. The atmosphere is lively with traditional songs, laughter, and playful moments—friends and relatives often tease the groom and cover him completely in haldi 😄 After the ritual, the groom takes a ceremonial bath, marking a fresh and auspicious beginning. In some families, a portion of the haldi is also sent to the bride’s home as a शुभ संकेत of connection between both families.

It is filled with energetic performances by friends and relatives, along with Bollywood songs and a festive party atmosphere. The bride and groom also join in, making it a memorable night of laughter and bonding. The Mehndi ceremony is a beautiful and traditional event, mainly focused on the bride. Intricate henna designs are applied on her hands and feet, symbolizing love, happiness, and prosperity. Family members and friends enjoy music, dance, and celebrations during this time. It is believed that the darker the mehndi color, the stronger the love between the couple.

Baraat
Baraat Ceremony The Baraat day is one of the most exciting and grand parts of a wedding, especially in Bihar. The groom gets dressed in traditional attire, often wearing a sherwani and safa, and prepares for the grand procession. The baraat begins from the groom’s place with music, band, and lots of dancing. Friends and family dance with full energy as they move towards the bride’s venue. Fireworks and dhol add to the festive vibe. On arrival, the groom is warmly welcomed by the bride’s family with rituals like aarti and tilak. This is followed by fun interactions between both families. Later, the main wedding rituals take place, including the sacred pheras and vows, marking the beginning of a new journey for the couple.
