Tilak Cerenomy At Morning
In the Bihar tradition, the Tilak Ceremony takes place at the groom’s home. Members of the bride’s family visit the groom’s house along with gifts and essential items such as clothes, utensils, furniture, and household goods. A traditional puja is performed, elders bless the groom, and the tilak ritual is completed. After the ceremony, the gifts are formally presented, followed by a shared meal, music, and light celebrations with family members.
Mehndi At Evening
Mehndi Night is a fun and colorful pre-wedding celebration. Henna (mehndi) is applied to the bride’s hands and feet, and guests are welcome to get mehndi designs as well. The evening is filled with music, singing, light dancing, laughter, and family time. It is a relaxed and joyful event where everyone comes together to celebrate before the wedding day.
Sangeet At Night
Sangeet Night is an evening of music and celebration with both families coming together. Family members and friends perform songs and dances, and everyone is encouraged to join in. The event is lively, joyful, and full of energy, followed by food and celebrations as the wedding day approaches.
Lagan At Meednight
Lagan Chumana is a traditional Bihari wedding ritual held before the wedding day. In this ceremony, family elders formally confirm the wedding by performing a small puja and exchanging ritual items between both families. The ritual symbolizes mutual consent, blessings, and the final acceptance of the marriage. After the ceremony, family members come together for food, conversations, and simple celebrations.

Haldi At Morning
The Haldi Ceremony is a joyful pre-wedding ritual where a paste made of turmeric is applied to the bride and groom by family members. This tradition is believed to bring good luck, purity, and a natural glow before the wedding. The ceremony is filled with laughter, blessings, light teasing, music, and family bonding, followed by simple food and celebrations.
Matkor
Matkor is a traditional Bihari pre-wedding ritual. Family members, mainly women, go together to a nearby place to collect sacred soil (mati). This soil is later used for wedding rituals and symbolizes prosperity and blessings for the couple. The ceremony is accompanied by traditional songs, rituals, and a joyful village-style atmosphere, followed by food and family gatherings.
Shree Mori
Shree Mori is a traditional Bihari wedding ritual where members of the bride’s family visit the local temples in their area. The procession is accompanied by dhol (traditional drums), music, and prayers. During this ritual, blessings are sought from different temples for a happy and prosperous married life. The ceremony is joyful, devotional, and deeply rooted in local tradition.
Barrat At Night
The Baraat is the groom’s wedding procession as he arrives at the bride’s home with his family and friends. The procession includes music, dancing, and traditional celebration as everyone welcomes the groom. After the Baraat reaches the bride’s house, welcoming rituals are performed, followed by the main wedding ceremonies and celebrations.
Wedding At Midnight
The wedding ceremony will take place at midnight, following traditional Bihari customs. Sacred rituals are performed in the presence of family elders and a priest, marking the formal union of the bride and groom. This quiet and meaningful ceremony is considered highly auspicious, followed by blessings, rituals, and celebrations with family.
