I’m KARIM, an Insurance Advisor, and this is FARZANA, a Licensed Educational Facilitator. Our story started with an 11-year plot twist!
In 2013, I proposed on Facebook—she ignored me! Then, in July 2024, family matchmaking bridged the Canada-India distance. Two months of building a long-distance bond, sight unseen, led to our online engagement in September 2024. That 2013 rejection? It turned into a "yes" in 2024! Meeting for the first time in May 2025 confirmed we are soulmates.

Mandap Ropan - Mandap Ceremony Commencement
The Mandap Ceremony is the beautiful start of the wedding festivities at both homes. As the groom's guest, you will witness the "Mandap Ropan," where a decorated pillar, the Manekstambh, is planted to invite stability and good fortune. You will see the groom dressed colorfully for the occasion. Afterward, enjoy an Indian feast featuring a delicious biryani and traditional sweets. This joyful event also includes the exchange of gifts among relatives and blessings given to the groom. Immediately following, experience the vibrant Ghadoli ceremony: a lively procession to our religious place, complete with music, dancing, and celebratory fun!
Pithi - Haldi Ceremony
Get ready for some sunshine! The Haldi ceremony is a fun, vibrant ritual where relatives playfully apply a paste of turmeric, oil, and water to the groom. This golden paste blesses him with purity and radiance. You will see the groom and everyone playing with the haldi, spreading immense joy and laughter, guaranteeing a festive, colorful start to the celebrations!
Sangeet - Musical Night
## Sangeet Night
Prepare for a dazzling evening! Our Sangeet is a vibrant celebration featuring a Garba dance party under glittering lights with a live DJ. Witness the stylish, energetic entry of the groom and his family, complete with fireworks! Before the music starts, enjoy light, delicious Gujarati Kathiyawadi cuisine. For about two hours, join the fun, dance different styles of Garba (including with the groom!), and groove to a mix of folk Gujarati and Bollywood hits. Don't miss your chance to dance and take photos with the groom!

Baraat - Groom's Wedding Procession.
Baraat: The Grand Arrival & Wedding Day
Early this morning, we travel to the bride’s town (please arrange your transport) to meet her family before making a grand, joyful entrance with full DJ and energetic dancing!
In the afternoon, witness the first official appearance of the Bride and Groom together. The groom's family will arrive at the bride's house with gifts for the Ring Ceremony, followed by the official Nikah (marriage ceremony) according to Muslim traditions. Afterward, the bride's family hosts a delicious, spicy Gujarati Kathiyawadi lunch.
The day concludes in the evening with Bidai, a final emotional ceremony where the groom’s family returns to the bride's house to officially welcome the new wife home, marking the end of the marriage proceedings.
