About the hosts
Himanshu & Shiwani's story
Three years ago, we were just two strangers scrolling through profiles on a matrimony app, each of us half-skeptical and half-hopeful. Neither of us imagined that a casual click on “Interested” would change everything. Our first chat was simple — polite hellos, a few shared laughs, and that awkward small talk everyone has at the start. But something about the conversation felt easy, real, and comforting.

Mata Pujan
Mata Pujan is one of the most sacred and joyful rituals performed before the wedding. It marks the beginning of all marriage celebrations by seeking the blessings of Goddess Durga (Mata Rani) or the family deity (Kuldevi). The ceremony usually begins with great enthusiasm. The bride’s and groom’s families get together, dress in traditional attire, and start their journey to the temple where the puja will take place. And the best part? 🎶 The whole procession goes with full celebration — DJ music, dhol beats, and dancing all the way to the temple! 💃🕺

Haldi
The Haldi ceremony is one of the most vibrant, fun-filled, and emotional rituals of an Indian wedding. It’s a beautiful blend of tradition, laughter, and dance, where family and friends come together to bless the bride and groom with happiness, love, and glowing skin before their big day. How It’s Celebrated The Haldi ceremony usually takes place a day or two before the wedding, at both the bride’s and groom’s homes. A special haldi paste made of turmeric, sandalwood, rosewater, and milk is prepared. Family members and friends apply it lovingly on the face, hands, and feet of the bride and groom. Once the ritual starts — the real fun begins! 🥳 Everyone dances around to DJ beats and dhol, celebrating with full energy. Cousins splash haldi playfully, while friends lift the groom or bride, turning it into a mini dance party!
Sangeet
The Sangeet is one of the most joyful and glamorous pre-wedding functions — a night full of music, dance, laughter, and celebration! It’s the moment when both families officially come together not just as relatives, but as one big family, ready to celebrate love in the most fun way possible. ❤️

Wedding Rituals
And finally… the day everyone has been waiting for — the Wedding Day! A day filled with emotions, excitement, and pure joy. The air is full of music, laughter, and that beautiful feeling that something magical is about to begin. 🌸✨ The bride looks radiant in her wedding attire — nervous yet glowing with happiness. The groom arrives with his baraat, dancing to the beats of the dhol and DJ, surrounded by his friends and family, all celebrating with boundless energy. 💃🕺 As the baraat reaches the bride’s home or wedding venue, the two families come together with warm smiles and open hearts. The groom is welcomed with aarti and tilak, marking the start of a beautiful union of not just two people, but two families. ❤️
