Sumit & Neha's story
We met in childhood through mutual friends at a small birthday gathering neither of us originally planned to attend. What started as an easy conversation about travel and food quickly turned into long walks, shared playlists, and countless cups of coffee. Over time, friendship grew into a deep partnership built on trust, laughter, and unwavering support. Through career changes, family milestones, and everyday adventures, we have learned how to listen, grow, and dream together. We balance each other—one grounded and steady, the other spontaneous and imaginative—and that harmony has shaped our relationship. After several years of building a life side by side, the proposal felt like a natural next step. Our marriage comes from a place of love, respect, and a shared vision for the future.

groom's wedding procession or marriage procession
The groom’s wedding procession, often called the Baraat, is a joyful and energetic celebration marking his arrival at the wedding venue. The groom typically arrives dressed in traditional attire, sometimes riding a decorated horse or arriving in a beautifully adorned car. Family members and friends accompany him, dancing to lively music, often with the beat of dhol drums. The atmosphere is festive, filled with singing, laughter, and celebration. When the procession reaches the venue, the bride’s family formally welcomes the groom and his relatives. This may include applying a tilak on the groom’s forehead, performing a brief ritual or prayer, and exchanging greetings between close family members. After the welcome ceremony, the groom is escorted inside, where the main wedding rituals take place. The procession symbolizes happiness, unity, and the coming together of two families in celebration of marriage.

reception
A wedding reception is a joyful celebration held after the wedding ceremony to honor the newly married couple. Guests are welcomed into the venue, where the couple often makes a grand entrance and is introduced to family and friends. This is usually followed by speeches or toasts from close relatives and friends, sharing heartfelt wishes and memorable stories. A meal is served, which may include multiple courses or a buffet, along with drinks and desserts. The couple typically shares their first dance, and sometimes special dances take place, such as with parents. Entertainment like music or a DJ keeps the atmosphere lively, inviting guests to join the dance floor. The cake-cutting ceremony is another highlight, symbolizing sweetness and unity. The reception provides an opportunity for everyone to celebrate, socialize, take photos, and create joyful memories together.
