Please join us in celebrating our wedding, steeped in Himalayan (Himachali) 🏔️ tradition. With exquisite food, locally grown ingredients and home made meals and attire and jewellery that is rooted in our rich history. A crash course on all things Himalayan will be given by expert elders of the family. The wedding coincides with Diwali celebrations, which is the Christmas of India. You will get to witness the charms of Diwali along with the loved ones coming together for the wedding. We celebrate will all as one. You will be a part of our family for the time you will be with us. ❤️

Mama Swagat
In Himachali culture Maternal Uncles play a major role in weddings. Mama Swagat which translates to Welcoming the Uncle, marks the beginning of the wedding. It encompasses hawan, rituals and lots of good food.
Haldi
Haldi in Pahadi culture is referred to as ‘Tail Batna’. Witness the magic of glow up post this ceremony as not only the bride and groom are applied haldi and ubtan but all guests relish in the warmth of love and fun!

Wedding
The wedding itself is a four hour long ritual, with exchanging garlands, rings and vows. This event for you will be an experience of Himachali culture in its truest form with priests guiding all activities. It also included fun activities like stealing the grooms shoes and making a deal to give them back, lots of teasing and sweet gestures. The food this day will be all Himachali dishes and will be prepared using the most authentic recipes by the best chefs of Shimla.
