Marriage
Brahmin wedding isn’t just a celebration β€” it’s a sacred ritual that unites two souls in front of sacred fire (Agni Sakshi). Every chant and offering carries centuries-old meaning from the Vedas (ancient Indian scriptures). Guests can witness rituals like: β€’ Kanyadaan – the bride’s parents offering their daughter to the groom, symbolizing trust and love. β€’ Mangalya Dharanam – the groom ties the holy mangalsutra, representing the eternal bond. β€’ Saptapadi (Seven Steps) – the couple takes seven sacred steps around the fire, making seven vows for a lifetime together. Each ritual has deep symbolism, representing harmony, respect, and dharma (righteous living). Expect bright sarees, flower decorations, traditional music (nadaswaram), and rituals performed with chanting of mantras. n Indian culture, a guest is considered equal to God. Foreigners are warmly welcomed, dressed in traditional attire if they wish, and treated with utmost respect and care.
