Shubham & Sharyu's story
We met only once in a German class—he sat a few seats away, and then soon after, moved to Germany. Life carried on, and we lost touch. Two years later, we reconnected on Instagram. What started as a casual "Hey" turned into endless conversations, laughs, and a growing connection that neither of us expected. The catch? He was in Germany, and I was in India. But even with the distance, time zones, and occasional network chaos, we made it work. I’d send him handwritten letters, something that felt special in today’s digital world. Last year, I moved to Germany for my studies, and being in the same place brought a new kind of closeness. In March 2025, we got engaged, and this November, we’re getting married. It’s been a journey we never planned—but one we’re really grateful for.
Day 1Thursday, November 6, 2025Nashik
Starting time (approximately): 5:00 PM
Venue and host contact details will be disclosed upon booking.
🌼 Haldi Ceremony 🌼
🌼 Haldi Ceremony
We’ll begin with the Haldi, a joyful ritual where turmeric paste is applied to us by loved ones for blessings and glowing skin! Expect a relaxed, fun vibe with laughter, music, and lots of yellow. It’s messy and magical — come in light/comfortable clothes (preferably yellow!) and be ready to join the fun.
🎶 Sangeet Night 🎶
Later that evening, we’ll turn up the music! Sangeet is all about dancing, singing, and celebrating together. Friends and family perform (yes, even awkward dance moves are welcome!), and it’s the perfect way to break into the wedding spirit.
Day 2Friday, November 7, 2025Nashik
Starting time (approximately): 8:00 AM
Venue and host contact details will be disclosed upon booking.
🕉 Marathi Vaidik Wedding Ceremony (Morning)
The next morning, we’ll celebrate the heart of our wedding — the traditional Marathi Vaidik ceremony, a sacred union performed according to ancient Hindu rituals and guided by Vedic scriptures.
This ceremony is filled with symbolic moments and meaningful customs that reflect the values of love, commitment, and shared purpose. It’s conducted by a Hindu priest (Pandit) who chants Sanskrit mantras while guiding us through a series of rituals.
You’ll witness beautiful traditions such as:
Antarpat – a curtain held between the bride and groom, symbolizing the start of their journey as individuals before they unite.
Sankalp – where we take vows and promise to walk through life together.
Mangalashtak – auspicious verses sung as blessings by our families.
Saptapadi (Seven Steps) – where we walk around the sacred fire, taking seven symbolic vows of marriage.
Kanyadaan – the moment where the bride’s parents formally give her hand to the groom, blessing the union.
💐 Varmala & Reception (Evening)
In the evening, we’ll have the Varmala exchange (garland ceremony) followed by our wedding reception — a more formal celebration with food, music, and memories to be made. Think of it as the grand finale of our big day!
