Tameesh & Shirin's story
Hi! We’re Shirin & Tameesh — best friends turned soulmates from Delhi, India. Our story began in 2014 at Delhi University, where we met as classmates and quickly became inseparable.
In 2021, after years of friendship, we realized our hearts had already found home — in each other. In 2022, we moved to Canada to pursue higher studies and build our dreams together. In November 2024, Tameesh proposed, and I said yes!
After more than 10 years of knowing each other, we’re getting married in 2025 — celebrating a love that grew with time, distance, and dreams.
We’re both in our late 20s. Though we’ve lived abroad, our roots are deeply Indian, and we can’t wait to celebrate our wedding in a traditional, joyful way.
We’d be honoured to have you join us! Indian weddings are full of stories, color, music, dance, food, and heartfelt joy and we’d love to share all of it with you.
With love,
Shirin & Tameesh

Wedding
✨ Baarat Arrival (Sundowner Wedding)
The celebration begins with the Baarat — a joyful, high-energy procession where the groom (Tameesh!) arrives with his family and friends, dancing to vibrant beats. It’s one of the liveliest parts of an Indian wedding, and you’re warmly invited to dance along!
🌸 Jai Mala (Garland Exchange)
Once the groom arrives, we’ll exchange floral garlands in a ceremony called Jai Mala. This beautiful ritual symbolizes mutual respect, love, and the beginning of our shared journey.
💍 Vows & Phere
Next, we’ll take sacred vows around the holy fire in a ceremony known as Phere. In a deeply meaningful gesture, our Phere will be led by female priests, conducted in a way that is equal and non-discriminatory — celebrating love in its most inclusive form.
🍽️ Dinner & Celebration
After the ceremony, feast with us! Enjoy a delicious Indian dinner filled with flavor, spices, sweets, and heartfelt hospitality.
