We met in the spring of 2020 at a mutual friend’s birthday dinner. I was new to the city and right away felt at ease when you cracked a joke to break the ice. From there we discovered how much we enjoy the same simple things — morning coffee walks, cooking curry together, watching documentaries on Sunday afternoons, and planning weekend trips whenever time allowed. It wasn’t dramatic. There weren’t fireworks the first night. It was the long conversations, the shared responsibilities, the little ways you supported me when I changed jobs, the way your laughter filled our home, and the way we both leaned into each other when things got hard. In those ordinary but honest moments, we built something real. And now, we’re getting married. We’re grateful for everyone who has been part of our journey so far and excited for what comes next.
