Gem & Riya: A Love That Conquered All
Our story began in 2019. We met online. What started as casual chats soon turned into a deep friendship, and by 2020, we had fallen in love.
But love isn’t always easy. Our families opposed our relationship due to caste and distance. Despite our efforts, we broke up twice, and I fell into depression. Seeing my struggle, my parents reconsidered, but then her parents objected. Twice, the wedding was called off, leaving us heartbroken.
Just when hope seemed lost, our friend Joseph became our bridge, convincing both families. Finally, on February 23rd, our marriage was fixed!
I work as a Catalogue Analyst at Walmart Global Tech, pursuing my MBA, while Riya is a dedicated teacher. Despite busy lives, love kept us strong.
Now, we’re ready for our biggest journey! On November 1st, we say "I do." Join us in celebrating a love that overcame all!
"True love faces every storm and shines brighter."

Wedding
A Christian wedding in Kerala is a beautiful blend of tradition and celebration. The ceremony begins in the church, where the groom arrives first, followed by the bride, escorted by her father. The priest leads the Holy Mass, including prayers, hymns, and Bible readings. The couple exchanges vows and rings, symbolizing their commitment, followed by the official blessing and signing of the marriage register. After the wedding, a grand reception takes place. The couple is welcomed with applause, followed by a cake-cutting ceremony and speeches from loved ones. A toast is raised in their honor, and some couples have a first dance. Guests then enjoy a lavish feast, often a traditional Kerala Sadhya or buffet-style. The evening continues with music, entertainment, and heartfelt interactions before concluding with blessings and well-wishes. The day marks not just a union but the beginning of a lifelong journey of love and togetherness.
