Sarath & Meghna's story
Seven years ago, fate (and a classmate) set us up on a video shoot. He was the singer, I was the lead—sparks flew but we were opposites, so it was just playful flirting. Then, plot twist, he had a serious accident and I became a regular visitor and somewhere between his pain meds and my rizz, he fell in love with me. On March 15th, wrapped in bandages and bravery, he asked me to be his girlfriend.
Years passed, including a breakup when he moved to Belgium—maybe for waffles, but he claims it was work. But love brought him back, and we’re now planning a traditional Malayali wedding on March 15th, the anniversary of his proposal.
The moral here is Love wins, and waffles are overrated! :P

Sangeet
The Sangeet is a lively and joyous pre-wedding celebration in Indian weddings, featuring an evening of music, dance, and fun. Traditionally held a day or two before the wedding, this event is a chance for both the bride’s and groom’s families to mingle and revel in the upcoming union. Guests are treated to performances of traditional and contemporary dances and songs by family members and friends, often resulting in spirited dance-offs and sing-alongs. Games and playful competitions add a layer of excitement, while drinks flow freely, enhancing the festive mood. The Sangeet is not just a party; it's a heartfelt expression of joy and community, setting the perfect tone for the wedding day.

Haldi
The Haldi ceremony is a vibrant and significant pre-wedding event common in Indian weddings, especially among Hindu communities. It involves applying a paste made from turmeric, sandalwood, rose water, and other fragrant ingredients to the bride and groom's skin. This ritual is believed to have cleansing properties, warding off evil and blessing the couple with prosperity and protection.
Everyone usually gets Haldi applied to them as well and there will be water also since it's a day before Holi so it's going to be FUN!
Come drenched in sunscreen as it's going to be during the day and be ready to dance and have a water party! Pls bring a change of clothes as well.
