Our Love Story – Hitesh & Pritisha’s Wedding Invitation!
Hello, future friends from around the world!
We are Hitesh and Pritisha, a couple deeply in love and about to begin our lifelong journey together. To make our wedding even more special, we’d love to invite you, adventurous travelers, to join us as honorary family members and experience the joy, traditions, and vibrancy of a true Indian wedding!
Our story began during the final year of our B.Tech engineering program. We were classmates who secretly had a crush on each other—bonding over late-night projects and even making circuit diagrams exciting! By the last semester, we fell head over heels in love. Now, five wonderful years later, our hearts are still perfectly in sync, and we’re ready to celebrate our love with you. Join us for a colorful celebration filled with music, dancing, and lifelong memories!

Haldi
The **Haldi Ceremony** is one of the most joyful and vibrant pre-wedding rituals in Indian weddings! It's a playful and heartwarming event where turmeric paste (called *haldi* in Hindi) mixed with sandalwood, rosewater, and other ingredients is applied to the bride and groom by their family and friends.
Why turmeric, you ask? It’s not just for its bright yellow color! Turmeric is believed to bring good luck, purify the soul, and add a natural glow to the skin (a perfect bridal touch!). But it’s much more than that—it’s a celebration of love, laughter, and fun. Everyone joins in, smearing haldi on each other, cracking jokes, and sometimes even starting a mini turmeric war! The whole atmosphere is filled with joy, music, and lively chatter.
Think of it as a ritual that’s part beauty prep, part blessing, and 100% unforgettable fun! And don’t worry, you’ll get to join in too—just wear something you don’t mind getting a bit yellow!
Wedding
A Bengali wedding is a vibrant celebration of love, steeped in tradition and emotion. Key moments include the **Saat Paak**, where the bride is carried around the groom seven times on a wooden stool, symbolizing their union, and the **Shubho Drishti**, a magical first-look ritual filled with playful excitement.
The ceremony ends with the groom applying **sindoor** (vermillion) to the bride’s hair parting, marking her as his wife. With colorful attire, soulful chants, delicious food, and endless joy, a Bengali wedding is a cultural feast and an unforgettable experience!
