SWARUP & UNNATI's story
Our Story In 2021, Swarup sent me a friend request on Instagram. I didn’t accept it at first — typical me! But fate had a little plan. Later, my friend told me, “He’s my husband’s best friend, and he really wants to talk to you.” So I gave it a chance… and that small step turned into something beautiful. From casual chats to deep conversations, laughs to life plans - we just clicked. He became my best friend, my biggest cheerleader, and now....my forever. We’re so excited to begin this new chapter, and even more grateful to have you celebrate it with us. With all our love, Unnati & Swarup

HALDI FUNCTION (हळद)
Haldi Ceremony Our Haldi ceremony is all about love, laughter, and a whole lot of yellow! A paste of turmeric is applied to us by family and friends to bless us with happiness, good luck, and that perfect wedding glow. It’s a beautiful ritual where a paste made of turmeric ( haldi ), sandalwood, rose water, and sometimes a bit of oil or milk is applied to the bride and groom's face, neck, hands, and feet. The yellow color is considered auspicious and is believed to bring blessings, good luck, and a natural bridal glow. But let’s be honest — it’s less about tradition and more about fun chaos! Expect dancing, music, sneaky haldi attacks, and some unforgettable yellow-stained selfies. Come ready to laugh, dance, and get messy — we can’t wait to celebrate this joyful madness with you!
WEDDING FUNCTION
Maharashtrian Wedding - A Maharashtrian wedding is a graceful, heartfelt celebration filled with meaningful rituals and joyful moments. The big day begins with a Ganpati puja for blessings. The groom arrives with his baraat (varat), dancing joyfully, and is welcomed with a traditional aarti. In the mandap, the couple is separated by a curtain (antarpat) until the sacred mantras begin. Once it’s lowered, they see each other and exchange shy smiles. The bride’s father performs Kanyadaan, giving his daughter’s hand in marriage. Together, the couple takes Saptapadi (seven sacred steps) around the fire, makes lifelong vows, and the groom ties the mangalsutra and applies sindoor. After blessings from elders, the bride bids an emotional goodbye to her family (bidaai) and enters her new home with a Grihapravesh ceremony. It’s a perfect mix of tradition, emotion, and fun — a celebration of two souls and two families becoming one!
