Lagan
The Lagan function is often held at the bride’s home and involves several meaningful steps: Lagna Patrika (The Sacred Invitation): A priest writes down the specific astrological timings (muhurat) and the names of the couple and their ancestors on a decorative scroll or paper colored with turmeric (haldi) and vermilion (kumkum). Worship of Lord Ganesha: The ceremony begins by invoking Lord Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, to ensure the entire wedding process proceeds smoothly without any hurdles. Sending the Letter: After the puja, the bride's family sends the Lagna Patrika to the groom’s family, often accompanied by gifts, sweets, and clothes. This is considered a formal, written invitation and a commitment to the marriage. Lagan Geet: Music plays a vital role during this time. Women of the family gather to sing traditional "Lagan Geet," which are folk songs that bless the couple and express the joy of the two families coming together. At last delicious food and party vibes dance

Haldi & Sangeet
It is the "party before the wedding" where logic and stress are traded for Bollywood beats. Friends and relatives spend weeks choreographing performances to tell the couple's love story or playfully tease the in-laws. The Bond: Beyond the performances, the Sangeet acts as a massive icebreaker. It allows the two families to mingle in a relaxed, joyful environment, breaking down formalities before the solemnity of the wedding day. The Haldi (Turmeric) ceremony is a more intimate and spiritually significant ritual held on the morning of or the day before the wedding. It is as much a beauty treatment as it is a blessing. The Ritual: Family members apply a golden paste made of turmeric, sandalwood, and rosewater to the bride and groom’s face, neck, and hands. It is traditionally believed to ward off the "evil eye" and bless the couple with prosperity.
