Raghavendra & Riya's story
Our story began amidst the vibrant chaos of a random art fest in 2017. Raghavendra, from Hyderabad, and Riya from Jharkhand, found a connection that transcended distance. Our nine years have been a true roller coaster, marked by profound highs and lows in both careers and personal life. Overcoming cultural differences stemming from diverse backgrounds, our mutual understanding has always kept us together, fulfilling a dream we've cherished for 9 years, 2 months, 22 days, and 37 hours. This journey, though challenging, has made our bond unbreakable.

Groom ceremony and Haldi
The Haldi Ceremony: A Golden Start Before we say "I do," we get painted in gold! The Haldi ceremony is a vibrant ritual where loved ones apply turmeric paste to the bride and groom. In our culture, yellow represents prosperity, purity, and new beginnings. It’s our way of cleansing the past and preparing for a bright future together. Expect a lot of laughter, traditional songs, and perhaps a bit of a yellow mess—it’s all part of the blessing!

Mehandi and Haldi
The Mehendi: Tracing Our Story Mehendi is the ancient art of applying henna to the hands in intricate, swirling patterns. As the stain deepens, so does the bond between the couple. It is a celebration of beauty, patience, and the delicate details that make a marriage strong. To our friends traveling from afar: We invite you to join in! Let the henna adorn your hands as a symbol of the joy and memories we are creating together today.

Marriage
The South Indian Groom (The Dravidian Heritage): Representing the "Pearl City" of Hyderabad, South Indian weddings often focus on elegance and ancient Vedic rituals. You might see the groom in a traditional Veshti (silk dhoti), symbolizing simplicity and groundedness. The Eastern Bride (The Tribal & Folk Heritage): Coming from Jharkhand—the "Land of Forests"—the East brings a deep connection to nature. Eastern weddings are known for their vibrant red hues, traditional folk music, and rituals that honor the roots of the earth. They say distance makes the heart grow fonder, but for us, the 1,500 kilometers between Hyderabad and Jharkhand were just steps in a nine-year journey. Our marriage proves that love doesn't need a common language or a common map—it just needs a common soul.
