About the hosts
Hitesh & Janvi's story
Our story began with the blessing of our families. While our paths were first crossed through tradition, it was our own conversations that turned a formal introduction into a deep connection. As we spent time getting to know one another, we realized that beyond the shared values and family ties, we found a rare comfort in each other’s company. What started as a thoughtful "yes" to our parents quickly became a heartfelt "yes" to one another. We discovered that while our families brought us together, it is our shared dreams and mutual respect that will keep us together forever.

Sangeet
This is the heart of the night! Both sides of the family "compete" in a friendly way through dance. Family Skits: Cousins and siblings often perform dances that tell the story of how Janvi and Hitesh met or poke fun at their quirks. Parental Performances: A sentimental moment where the parents dance to nostalgic tracks from their era. The Couple's Performance: The highlight of the night! A romantic, rehearsed dance (usually a medley of slow romantic songs and fast Bollywood hits) by Janvi and Hitesh. 3. Musical Performances Live Band or DJ: Many Sangeets feature a live singer or a DJ who keeps the energy high between dance sets. Traditional Gidda or Garba: Depending on your regional background, there may be specific traditional dances involved.
Wedding
1. The Baraat (Hitesh’s Arrival) 2. The Milni and Welcoming 3. The Kanya Aagaman (Janvi’s Entry) 4. The Mandap Rituals The core of the wedding takes place under the Mandap (the sacred altar). Key rituals include: Jai Mala: Janvi and Hitesh exchange flower garlands, symbolizing their mutual acceptance of one another. Kanyadaan: An emotional moment where Janvi’s parents "give away" their daughter to Hitesh. Gathbandhan: The couple’s scarves are tied together, symbolizing an eternal bond. Saptapadi (Seven Steps): You will take seven steps around the sacred fire (Agni), each step representing a specific vow (for food, strength, prosperity, wisdom, progeny, health, and friendship). 5. Sindoor and Mangalsutra 6. The Vidaai (The Farewell) "The most sacred of vows are those taken in the presence of the people we love. We invite you to join us as we walk around the holy fire and embark on our journey as husband and wife. Your blessings are the foundation upon which we will build our home."
