Tabish & Muskan's story
Warm greetings to all our guests joining us from abroad!
I'm Fahim Ansari, proud brother of the bride and a Senior Engineer with a US-based firm, working in Bangalore. My sister Muskan, a talented graphic designer, is marrying Tabish, a successful businessman from Ranchi. Theirs is a beautiful story — introduced through a family-arranged setup, their friendship blossomed into love, proving old traditions can lead to new beginnings.
Get ready for a true Indian Muslim wedding experience! From the henna and dholak beats of the Mehendi, to the elegance of the Nikah, to the grandeur of the Walima — every event tells its own story. And the food! Fragrant biryanis, kebabs, rich Mughlai curries, and sweets like sheer khurma and gulab jamun await.
We'd be honored to have you share in the colors, music, laughter, and love. Come make memories with us in India!
"Two souls, one heart" — can't wait to celebrate theirs.
With love,
Fahim

Haldi
Here's a short paragraph on the Haldi ceremony:
---
The Haldi ceremony is one of the most joyful pre-wedding rituals in an Indian wedding. A day or two before the wedding, family and close friends gather to apply a fragrant turmeric paste — mixed with rosewater, sandalwood, and sometimes milk — onto the bride and groom's face, hands, and feet. Turmeric is considered auspicious, believed to bless the couple, ward off evil, and give their skin a natural glow before the big day. The ceremony is filled with laughter, music, and playful teasing as guests take turns smearing the paste, often turning into a joyful, messy affair with everyone dressed in bright yellow. It's less formal than other rituals and more about celebration, bonding, and building excitement as the wedding day draws near.

Nikkah
The Nikah is the sacred, central ceremony of an Islamic wedding, where the bride and groom formally marry as per Islamic tradition. It's conducted by a Maulvi or Qazi, who reads verses from the Quran and oversees the marriage contract. The bride and groom give their consent — known as *Ijab-o-Qubul* — often through a wali (guardian), witnessed by two adults from each side. A *Mehr* (a gift or sum from the groom to the bride) is also agreed upon, symbolizing his commitment and respect. Once both sign the Nikahnama (marriage certificate), the marriage becomes official under Islamic law. The ceremony is usually solemn and prayerful, followed by joyful greetings, sweets, and blessings from family and friends as the couple is pronounced husband and wife.
