GAURAV & Pooja's story
Ours happen to be an arrange marriage setup. Me and Pooja are 28 years old and our family was busy looking for an appropriate match for us. After going through several rishta on matrimonial sites one day when I checked her profile. I was really impressed and when our parent talked first and it was our turn to meet. I couldn’t think about how it would go. Will we have things to talk about? What if she don’t like me? All these questions were going around in my mind. I was nervous and clueless. The day finally arrived and the one thing I remember about our first meeting is that it wasn't awkward at all! She did most of the talking and just made me feel really comfortable. And that's how our relationship has been since.

Wedding
It will starts with baraat, or groom's procession. For this, the groom arrives to the ceremony on a decorated white horse. Guests dance around him to the beat of a dhol, an Indian drum. After that, the bride and her family greet the groom, and the couple exchanges floral garlands to wear around their necks to symbolize their acceptance of each other.
For the ceremony, the priest, groom, bride and bride's parents sit beneath a mandap, a canopy similar to a Jewish chuppah. The ceremony starts off with the kanya daan, in which the bride's parents give her away. Then the couple joins hands and circles around a small, enclosed fire (the agni) in a ritual called the mangal phera.
