Devang & Rekha's story
In the graceful weave of destiny, two beautiful souls, Devang(Dev) and Rekha, found each other amid the rhythm of everyday life. Rekha, the beloved daughter of late Shri Kanabhai, and Dev, the cherished son of late Shri Raymalbhai — both from humble farming families — have carried forward their parents’ values of hard work, simplicity, and love. Their story began as colleagues in a corporate office, blossomed into a warm friendship, and gently turned into a bond of lifelong commitment. With the blessings of their families, Dev and Rekha got engaged on 1st December 2024, and now they are ready to celebrate their forever together. Join us in rejoicing this sacred celebration of love, tradition, and togetherness — the wedding of Dev and Rekha.

Lagn Lakhan
Every beautiful journey begins with divine blessings, and for Dev and Rekha, the sacred celebration of their union commenced with the Lagn Lakhan ceremony. Surrounded by the love and warmth of family, this auspicious ritual marked the formal beginning of their wedding festivities. With heartfelt prayers to Lord Ganesha and the writing of their wedding muhurat, both families sought blessings for a harmonious and joyous life ahead. The moment symbolized not just the announcement of their marriage, but the joining of two families, traditions, and hearts — setting the tone for the grand celebration of love that follows.

All the ladies from the family and village gather under one joyous roof to sing traditional marriage songs, rejoicing in the upcoming union of Dev and Rekha. For an hour, the air resonates with laughter, blessings, and the rhythmic tunes of love and happiness. As they sing, share stories, and cheer for the bride and groom, a beautiful bond of community and celebration fills every heart. The evening concludes with a cup of tea served as sweet — symbolizing warmth, simplicity, and shared joy that beautifully reflect the essence of this cherished tradition. *NOTE : All the function and Vidhi of this day will be held separately at Bride's and Groom's homes as per the gujarati rituals.

Mandap ropan
The word “Mandap” refers to the sacred canopy or space under which the wedding rituals will be performed. During this ceremony, a holy puja (prayer) is performed, and wooden poles (khambas) or small symbolic sticks are ceremonially planted in the ground. This ritual seeks Lord Ganesha’s blessings to remove obstacles and ensure that all wedding functions proceed smoothly and happily. It also invokes the blessings of ancestors, deities, and nature — especially the five elements — for prosperity and harmony in the couple’s new journey. The atmosphere is filled with devotion, traditional songs, and joy.
Haldi
The Haldi ceremony (also called Pithi in Gujarati) is performed at both the bride’s and groom’s homes, usually a day before the wedding. A paste of turmeric (haldi), sandalwood, and rosewater (sometimes mixed with oil or milk) is prepared and gently applied to the bride and groom by their family members and friends. Turmeric holds deep spiritual and cultural importance — it’s considered a symbol of purity, prosperity, and good luck. The ritual is believed to purify and bless the couple, giving them a divine glow and protecting them from negativity before the wedding. The event is filled with fun, laughter, teasing, songs, and playful moments, as relatives lovingly smear haldi on the couple.
Mameru
In Gujarati tradition, the Mameru holds a special place in the heart of wedding celebrations. It is a ceremony filled with love, respect, and blessings, where the bride’s maternal uncle (Mama) visits her with gifts, sweets, clothes specially a dress called "Panetar" which to be wear during the wedding, and ornaments as a token of affection and blessings for her new journey. Bride's maternal also bring gifts for Bride's mother. The Mameru ceremony not only honors family ties but also marks the deep-rooted cultural essence that makes Indian weddings truly soulful.
Sangeet
The Sangeet Sandhya holds a special place in the heart of every Indian wedding — an evening where music becomes the language of joy and dance becomes the rhythm of togetherness. This night was more than just celebration; it was a heartfelt expression of love, unity, and happiness shared by both families. The melodies of traditional songs and the laughter of loved ones filled the air with warmth and excitement. The Sangeet Sandhya beautifully reminded everyone that marriage is not just the union of two souls, but a celebration of families, emotions, and lifelong memories woven through music and joy. This event specially includes playing Dandiya in our gujarati tradition. *NOTE : All the function and Vidhi of this day will be held separately at Bride's and Groom's homes as per the gujarati rituals.
