VijayaRaju & Kalpana's story
Our parents’ love story began 25 years ago, rooted in simplicity, trust, and the kind of companionship that only grows stronger with time. Over the past two and a half decades, they’ve built a beautiful life together—raising a family. Their journey is a true testament to the values of commitment, understanding, and unconditional love.
To honor this incredible milestone, we— their children—are planning a very special surprise celebration. As part of this unique event, we’re inviting guests from around the world to join us in celebrating their love story. Through JoinMyWedding, we hope to create a beautiful cultural exchange where foreign guests can witness the joy and traditions of an Indian anniversary celebration that blends rituals, music, dance, and heartfelt moments. Our parents have no idea what’s coming, and we can't wait to see the joy on their faces when they experience this unforgettable day with people from across the globe.

Haldi
We are kicking off the 25th wedding anniversary celebrations with a vibrant Haldi ceremony, a cherished Indian pre-wedding ritual that symbolizes joy, purification, and the start of a beautiful new chapter. Traditionally, turmeric paste (haldi) is applied to the bride and groom to bless them with happiness and prosperity. In this special celebration, we are recreating this heartfelt tradition for our parents as a tribute to their journey of love over the past 25 years.
The event will be filled with laughter, music, traditional songs, colorful decor, and playful moments as family and friends come together to shower blessings and spread joy. Foreign guests are warmly invited to not just observe but participate—whether it's applying haldi, dancing to dhol beats, or donning traditional Indian attire. It promises to be a fun-filled, culturally immersive experience you’ll never forget!

Mehandi
The second day of our celebration is dedicated to the beautiful Mehendi ceremony—a colorful and joyful tradition where intricate henna designs are applied to the hands of the women in the family. As we celebrate 25 years of our parents’ togetherness, this event symbolizes love, beauty, and the deep bonds of family and tradition. Our mother will have her hands adorned with stunning mehendi patterns, just like a bride, bringing back the charm and grace of her wedding days.
The atmosphere will be filled with lively music, traditional dance, ethnic decor, vibrant outfits, and delicious Indian snacks. Guests are encouraged to join in, get their own mehendi applied, learn a few traditional dance moves, and truly immerse themselves in the celebration. It’s a perfect opportunity to experience the artistic and festive side of Indian culture up close.
