Sandeep & Pooja S's story
Sandeep and I first met on our way to an office offsite in Jim Corbett. He had just joined the company from BCG and was already the talk of the office. I was excited to meet him, but our first interaction was brief, he was busy on a call at Delhi airport. Over the trip, through small conversations and a shared cab ride back to the airport, we became friends. Somewhere along the way, I developed a crush and told him how I felt, but the timing wasn’t right for us. A year later, at another offsite in Alleppey, I confessed again. He had just returned from a work trip to Somalia, and this time, I discovered the feelings were mutual. Back in Bangalore, we went on our first date, and everything clicked. We shared the same curiosity, humor, and way of seeing the world. What started as a chance meeting at an airport slowly turned into a friendship, and then into a love story that felt wonderfully inevitable. ❤️

A traditional Karnataka Gowda wedding is a beautiful celebration of the community’s agrarian roots, where rituals involving coconut, milk, turmeric, and grains symbolize prosperity, purity, and abundance. Distinctive customs such as Haalu (milk) rituals, Kukke Tumbuvudu, Ganga Pooja, Jeerige Bella, and ceremonies performed with coconuts and sacred vessels reflect a deep connection to the land and family heritage. Unlike many modern weddings, a Gowda wedding feels warm, rooted, and deeply symbolic—where every ritual, from the blessings of elders to the sharing of milk and coconut, carries generations of meaning and celebrates not just the union of two people, but the coming together of two families and a rich Karnataka legacy.
