Sourav & Drishty's story
Ours is a love story which blossomed from a childhood friendship. We have known each other for 20 years now and decided to accept each other as life partners. We make a couple of an Educator (Groom) and IT professional (Bride). Here in India, we treat the world as our family as depicted by the saying "Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam" and also treat our guests as gods as said "Atithi Devo Bhava". We will eagerly wait for you to join the begining of our forever ❣️

Tilak
The Tilak ceremony is a significant pre-wedding ritual in Bihar that symbolizes the groom's acceptance into the bride's family: What happens The bride's brother and father visit the groom's house with a tilak thaal. The brother applies a paste of sandalwood, turmeric, and vermillion to the groom's forehead. The groom is also given gifts such as sweets, wedding accessories, and attire. What it symbolizes The Tilak ceremony is a sign of respect and honor. It's also a time to ask for blessings from elders and deities for a happy and prosperous marriage.
Mehndi
The mehndi ceremony is a pre-wedding event in Indian weddings where henna is applied to the bride and her guests. The ceremony is usually held the night before the wedding, and is organized by the bride's family. However, our functions will be held together as a bride and groom as well.
Ring Ceremony + Sangeet
Rings will be exchanged between the couple. Post the ring ceremony, there will be few dance performances by family members, friends and you are most welcome to join the group. Afterwards, everyone enjoys and dance their heart out on the desi Indian beats.

Haldi
The Haldi ceremony is a traditional Indian pre-wedding ritual where the bride and groom are covered in a turmeric paste: What it's about: The Haldi ceremony is a time of cleansing and celebration that brings good luck, wards off evil spirits, and brightens the couple's skin. The yellow color of turmeric symbolizes purity, auspiciousness, and the start of a new life. What happens: The bride and groom's families apply the paste to the couple's face, neck, hands, and feet. The paste is made from turmeric, water, oil, and sometimes other ingredients like sandalwood, rose water, or milk. The ceremony is often accompanied by singing, dancing, and eating.
Multiple Bihari Rituals
There are many smaller rituals which holds utmost importance. They include: 1.Mandappachadan is Bihari wedding customs that demands the setup of the wedding mandap. The mandap is decorated with mango leaves and banana trees which is a symbol of good luck. 2. Followed by the Haldi ceremony the Dhritdhaari and Matripooja take place. Both families perform this Bihari marriage ritual to seek blessings from their ancestors. Along with that the bride and groom offer clothes or money during the pooja to ask any forgiveness from their ancestors.
Wedding
The actual wedding would take place which itself is a package of multiple rituals along with jaimala which is garlands exchange, kanyadaan, sindoordan, saat vachan, pheras etc.
