Ashik & Jaseena's story
Hello! I’m Jaseena, an anaesthesia technician, and my fiancé is Ashik Omer, a software engineer.
Our journey began in the most unexpected yet beautiful way — through Instagram. What started as a simple online connection soon blossomed into love.
Coming from Muslim families, we shared our story with our parents — and with time, love, and understanding, they accepted our relationship wholeheartedly.
Now, with immense joy, we’re stepping into a new chapter of our lives. We’re getting married this August, and we would be truly honoured to have you join us in celebrating this special moment.
With love,
Jaseena & Ashik

Engagement and nikkah ceremony
This is a joyful event where both families officially celebrate the couple’s decision to marry.
• Rings are exchanged, blessings are given, and there are warm introductions, laughter, and love.
• It’s not a religious ritual, but more of a cultural celebration of the upcoming marriage.
• There will be speeches, photo sessions, and a chance for everyone to mingle and enjoy refreshments.
Nikkah (Islamic Marriage)
• This is the official Islamic wedding contract.
• An imam (religious officiant) will perform the nikkah by reciting a few verses from the Qur’an and guiding the couple through the marriage vows.
• The bride and groom give their consent in front of witnesses, and a mahr (a symbolic gift from the groom to the bride) is agreed upon.
• Once the nikkah is complete, we are officially husband and wife under Islamic law.
• It’s a meaningful, spiritual moment — usually followed by duas (prayers) and heartfelt congratulations from family and friends.
