Varun & Sarita's story
Hello everyone!
We are thrilled to share our story with you. Our names are Varun and Sarita, and here's a bit about how we met, our lives, and why we are so excited to have you join us for our wedding.
How We Met - Our story began 2 years ago, in a moment of serendipity. We met at New Delhi, where a shared interest in doing party sparked an instant connection. From that first conversation, we knew there was something special between us. Our relationship grew steadily from there, filled with laughter, adventures, and countless cherished moments.
What We Do - Varun works as a Market Research profession, and Sarita is a Skin Beauty Expert. Our careers are a big part of our lives, and we love what we do. However, the most important part of our lives is the love and support we provide each other.
"Love is not just looking at each other, it's looking in the same direction." – Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
We look forward to sharing this beautiful day with you.
With all our love,
Varun & Sarita

Wedding Ceremony
The Baraat is the groom's lively wedding procession. It starts at the groom's home or a designated spot, where he mounts a decorated horse (or sometimes a car or elephant). Accompanied by family and friends, the procession dances to the beats of a dhol (drum) or brass band. The groom's entourage, dressed in festive attire, creates a joyful atmosphere with dancing and singing. Upon arrival at the wedding venue, the bride's family welcomes the groom with a traditional Aarti and the Milni ceremony, where senior members exchange garlands. The playful Joota Chupai follows, where the bride's sisters hide the groom's shoes for a ransom. The Baraat culminates with the groom proceeding to the mandap for the wedding ceremony, symbolizing the joyous union of the two families.
The Baraat is one of the most lively and spirited parts of our wedding celebrations. We can't wait to share this joyous occasion with you. Come ready to dance, celebrate, and make wonderful memories with us!
Bidai
The Bidai is an emotional farewell ceremony marking the bride's departure from her parental home to her new life with the groom. After the wedding rituals, the bride, often in tears, bids goodbye to her family, symbolizing the end of her maiden life. Her parents, siblings, and close relatives offer blessings and words of comfort. The bride's father or brother typically escorts her to the groom's car, where the couple sits together. In some traditions, the bride throws a handful of rice over her head towards her family, symbolizing repayment for their care and wishing prosperity upon her childhood home. The groom then drives the bride to his home, where a new chapter begins. The Bidai is a poignant mix of sorrow and joy, highlighting the deep familial bonds and the start of the bride's new journey.
