About the hosts
Yogabalaji & Rajalakshmi's story
Our story began not in the same classroom, but in a shared moment.
We met during college as participants in an event โ starting as friends from different worlds. What followed was unexpected: a connection that grew stronger despite the distance between us.
Long distance had its lighter moments too โ serious conversations often ended in debates about what to eat in two different cities ๐. And after weeks of planning to meet, weโd still spend half the time deciding where to go!
Over time, we built our careers and grew individually, yet always together at heart. Even rare meetings felt effortless, like no time had passed.
After nearly a decade, we chose to turn this journey into a lifetime.
From strangers at an event to life partners โ a story we still smile about.
Now, weโre excited to celebrate our story, culture, and wedding with you.

Engagement
A Tamil engagement is more than the exchange of rings, it is the joyful beginning of two families becoming one.
Hosted in Alanganallur, a village renowned worldwide for its legendary Jallikattu festival, our engagement will be filled with blessings from elders, traditional rituals, music, laughter, and warm Tamil hospitality.
As part of the experience, we would also love to introduce you to our hometown by taking you to nearby landmarks, including the world-famous Jallikattu Arena, the revered Muniyandi Swamy Temple, and scenic rivers nearby.
The celebration concludes with an authentic Traditional Tamil Wedding Feast, served on a banana leaf, a delicious introduction to the rich culinary heritage of Tamil Nadu.
