Programs will start from morning. 1st is haldi ( gaye halud in bengali).Here the groom is bathed with turmeric and water. The female married relatives help him .

After the morning's events and breakfast, followed by lunch, we will move on to the main programme — the Wedding. We will go to the bride’s house for the wedding, where Bengali rituals of marriage will take place along with dinner.

After the completion of the wedding ceremony the newly married bride and the groom have to remain awake whole night for Basor jaga event .Some of the relatives and friends also remain awake with the newly married couple .Basor jaga comprises singing ,story telling, games ,skits and humour.

When the bride arrives at the groom's house ,the bride is welcomed by her mother-in-law. The Baron ceremony comprises blowing sankha and pradip.She is given a warm reception, often stepping into a mixture of alta and milk to leave red footprints (symbolizing Goddess Lakshmi).

Bou Bhaat: A grand feast is hosted by the groom's family, where the bride serves rice (bhat) to the groom's relatives, and the groom officially accepts the responsibility of food (vat) and cloth (kapor)of his new wife.
