About the hosts
Harpreet & Pallabi's story
Preet and I worked in the UAE in the same company. We met there, and then in the very first month of the relationship, we started to live in together. In the very first, it was just a thing, but then slowly living in together, we started to grow together and then feel deeply. I had lost my parents long ago, so it was not a big deal for me to convince anyone, but for him, his family was an orthodox, proper, typical Punjabi family, and no one ever had had a love marriage in the family, so it would be the first one. So first we were scared that they will be convinced or not, and then slowly after a year, he finally decided to tell his parents, but to our surprise, they were very easygoing and they were convinced very easily. And then now it's all happening, a very traditional, full of ritual Indian wedding. Our guests are very limited. There are only 60 to 70 guests, but it will be a proper Punjabi wedding full of rituals, like a proper authentic village wedding.
Day 1Sunday, October 11, 2026Dhaban village
Starting time (approximately): 6:00 AM
Venue and host contact details will be disclosed upon booking.
Anandkaraj ceremony
It is a traditional, sacred Sikh wedding ceremony held in a Gurdwara (our place of worship). Unlike a fast-paced social event, the Anand Karaj is a peaceful, spiritual experience designed to connect two souls into one path under the presence and guidance of our holy scripture, the Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
As we take our vows surrounded by the soothing recitation of sacred hymns and divine mantras, we invite you to sit with us in stillness and share in this quiet, joyful moment.
Jaggo
That same night, the mood transforms as we gather with our intimate group of close family and friends for Jaggo!
The word Jaggo means "Wake Up!" In village tradition, it is the night where the entire community stays awake to celebrate the newly married couple through music, dance, and centuries-old rituals. our Jaggo features authentic Punjabi folk songs sung live by the ladies of our home . You will hear traditional boliyan (couplets) filled with playful banter, teasing of relatives, and warm blessings. Because we are hosting an intimate group of 60 to 70 guests, this night is all about personal connection—dancing together to the beats of the dhol, sharing laughter, and getting to know one another like family.join us at the dance.
