Jai & Aanvi's story
We are delighted to share a little about our journey with you. Our story began on Shaadi.com in India, where a simple conversation quickly turned into love at first sight. What followed were shared dreams, countless smiles, and a bond that felt natural from the very beginning.
Aanvi, the bride, is a teacher passionate about learning and inspiring others, while Jai, the groom, is an entrepreneur who owns a women’s clothing store in Karnal. Though our careers are different, our values, family roots, and outlook on life brought us closer every day.
Our wedding will be a joyful blend of modern style and rich Indian traditions. Your presence will mean the world to us as we begin this new chapter of our lives. Come celebrate, laugh, dance, and create unforgettable memories with us. As they say, “Where there is love, there is joy—and where there is joy, there is celebration.” We can’t wait to share ours with you. 💛

Ghadi Ghadoli Celebration at 3pm
During Ghadi Ghadoli, women from the groom’s or bride’s family, along with close relatives and friends, gather to bring sacred water in decorated pots, known as ghadolis, from a temple, well, or river. The pots are beautifully adorned with flowers, mirrors, and colorful cloth, and are carried on the heads of women amid singing, clapping, and traditional folk songs.
The procession is filled with joy, music, and dance, creating a festive atmosphere. Once the women return home, the holy water is used for bathing the bride or groom, symbolizing purification, positivity, and blessings before marriage. Elders bless the couple for a happy and prosperous married life. The ceremony represents cleansing of the body and soul, protection from negativity, and the support of family and community as the couple prepares to begin a new chapter together.
Wedding Reception at 8pm

During this, the Ghud Chadi takes place, where the groom’s sisters feed and bless the horse, symbolizing good fortune and a safe journey.
At the venue, the playful Ribbon Ceremony occurs, with the bride’s sisters blocking the groom’s entry until he offers money, creating laughter, teasing, and fun negotiations. Once the ribbon is cut, everyone enters, followed by Milni, where corresponding relatives from both families greet each other with hugs and gifts, celebrating unity and respect.
