Our customs are inspired by the divine marriage of *Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati*. Like Parvati’s devotion and rituals to win Shiva, an Odia bride follows traditions of purity and blessings. The wedding symbolizes the union of Shiva and Shakti — strength and grace. The celebrations begin with *Haldi and Mehendi* for glow, love, and good fortune. On the wedding day, the bride shines in a *red and white Khandua silk saree* with temple borders.
