Hari & Shivanee's story
Eight years of love, countless memories, and a beautiful journey that now finds its next chapter in marriage. ❤️
Both doctors by profession, but our love story is nothing short of a Tamil cinema romance! Just like Kushi, life had its own beautiful way of bringing us together. We were always there in each other's world, perhaps unknowingly, until destiny made us realise that we were meant to be together.
From eight wonderful years of togetherness to a lifetime of companionship, our journey continues, now with a promise of forever.
And what better place to begin this new chapter than Madurai – the Temple City, the city that never sleeps, and undoubtedly the food capital of Tamil Nadu! A city filled with timeless traditions, vibrant culture, heavenly food and countless memories.
Two hearts, two doctors, eight years of love, and one forever — all coming together in the city we proudly call the heart of Tamil culture.
Our story began with love, and now, Madurai will witness our marriage

Starting time (approximately): 5:00 AM

Kasi Yathirai
After completing his phase as a student (Brahmacharya), the groom pretends to abandon the idea of marriage and decides to renounce worldly life to become an ascetic or sanyasi, heading off on a pilgrimage to Kashi (Varanasi) to seek ultimate spiritual wisdom.
He dresses in traditional attire (such as a panchakacham dhoti) and carries a set of items including a decorated umbrella, a walking stick/bamboo staff, wooden sandals, a hand fan, a small bag, and a sacred text or book
As the groom starts walking away from the mandal (wedding stage), the bride's father or brother intercepts him.
The bride's father persuades him that leading a householder's life (Grihastha) is an equally noble path of duty, community, and righteousness, and formally offers his daughter's hand in marriage.
Relenting to the request, the groom agrees to give up the journey to Kashi and steps back into the mandal to marry the bride.
Marriage
The core event where the groom ties the sacred yellow thread or gold necklace called the Thali (or Mangalsutra) around the bride's neck, accompanied by the dramatic crescendo of Nadaswaram music
