Dheerendra & Rita's story
In 2012, we met for the first time in a wedding, we both saw each other, talked and exchanged numbers, then we talked on call, then in 2017 I proposed, then slowly our family came to know about our relationship, after that we completed graduation, then convinced the family with great difficulty, our family accepted our relationship, we planned to get married in 2025.

2. Wedding Day Activities: Barat Procession: The groom arrives in a procession, often on a horse or in a decorated car, accompanied by family and friends. A grand procession could include traditional music like dhol and shehnai to make it extra special. Varmala Ceremony: The bride and groom exchange floral garlands, signifying the acceptance of each other. You could set this up in a beautiful floral-draped setting for a picturesque moment. Pheras (Seven Circles): The couple walks around a sacred fire while reciting vows, which is central to the ceremony. You can plan a beautiful fire pit or mandap (wedding altar) with elaborate decor. Post-Wedding Celebrations: Before the wedding, this event is a relaxed gathering where guests can socialize, enjoy food & drinks, and dance. Think of creating a chic lounge setting with soft lighting and trendy music.A grand celebration with guests, food, and dancing. Vidai Ceremony: The emotional moment when the bride departs her parental home.
Tilak Ceremony
Tilak Ceremony Rituals: Tilak Application: The key moment of the ceremony is when the bride's family applies a tilak (a mark made with kumkum or vermilion) on the groom's forehead, signifying the groom’s acceptance and readiness for marriage. Offering of Gifts: The groom’s family typically presents gifts to the bride’s family, which could include sweets, dry fruits, and ceremonial items like clothes or jewelry. Family Blessings: The groom's family, including close relatives, receive blessings from the bride’s family. This is a heartwarming moment of connection and support. Food and Drink: Traditional Sweets and Snacks: During the Tilak ceremony, the families exchange sweets like laddu, barfi, gulab jamun, and soan papdi. You can also serve savory snacks like samosas, pakoras, or kebabs. Meal Buffet: Depending on the time of day, you could have a full meal with North Indian favorites like chole bhature, dal makhani, biryani, and naan.
