sagar & Samiksha's story
You’re invited to witness a love that defied storms, silences, and society. A 16-year journey — from childhood neighbors to soulmates, separated by fate, reunited by destiny. I’m from a Scheduled Caste, he’s a Sindhi Hindu. Despite religion, caste, family opposition, and even police complaints, we chose love — patient, fearless, unshaken. Today, with the blessings of those who once resisted, we’re getting married. This isn’t just a wedding — it’s our story, our victory, our promise fulfilled. Come celebrate, #SamikshaAndSagar — a love that stood tall against all odds.

Haldi ceremony
The Haldi ceremony is a vibrant pre-wedding ritual, steeped in tradition and joyous anticipation. Before the wedding day, turmeric paste—known for its auspicious and purifying properties—is lovingly applied to the bride and groom’s face, hands, and body by married women and family members. This golden-yellow paste symbolizes blessings for prosperity, health, and radiant beauty, believed to cleanse and protect the couple as they prepare to enter a new chapter of life. Filled with laughter, playful teasing, and heartfelt blessings, the Haldi ceremony creates a warm, intimate atmosphere where family and friends come together to shower the couple with love and good wishes. Beyond its ritualistic importance, it marks a joyful cleansing—both spiritual and physical—setting a sacred tone for the wedding celebrations to follow.
The sangeet
The Sangeet ceremony is a celebration bursting with music, dance, and vibrant joy — a lively prelude to the wedding day. Families and friends come together to sing traditional songs, perform energetic dances, and celebrate the couple’s love story with full heart. It’s a time filled with laughter, playful games, and emotional moments that bring both sides closer. With delicious food, endless dancing, and high-spirited fun, the Sangeet transforms into a festival of love and togetherness. It’s not just a ritual — it’s an explosion of happiness where memories are made, bonds are deepened, and hearts beat to the rhythm of celebration.
The mehndi ceremony
The Mehndi ceremony is a magical celebration of color, tradition, and love. As intricate henna designs are drawn on the bride’s hands and feet, joy fills the air. These patterns are not just beautiful art — they symbolize love, prosperity, and the deep bond between the couple. Hidden cleverly within the bride’s mehndi is the groom’s name, a playful ritual where he must later find it. Surrounded by music, laughter, and vibrant decor, family and friends join in with dancing, singing, and games. With aromatic food and festive energy, the Mehndi ceremony blends tradition and fun, painting joy into every corner of the celebration.

varmala ceremony
The Varmala ceremony unfolds like a vibrant tapestry of love and tradition, where two souls are bound by fragrant blossoms and heartfelt vows. Amidst the rhythmic beats of dhol and joyous cheers, the bride and groom adorn each other with garlands of marigolds and roses — timeless symbols of purity, passion, and eternal devotion. Each floral embrace is a sacred pledge, a silent promise of respect and unity whispered in colors and scents. Playful moments spark laughter as friends lift and tease the couple, transforming the ritual into a joyous dance of connection and celebration. This sacred exchange is more than a ritual; it is the blooming of a shared destiny, a fragrant beginning that paints the wedding with warmth, promise, and the magic of togetherness. In this moment, tradition blossoms into forever.
the Ring Exchange Ceremony
The Ring Exchange Ceremony is a delicate dance of promises and eternal bonds, where two hearts intertwine through a timeless ritual. As the bride and groom slip the rings onto each other’s fingers, they seal their commitment in a circle of unending love — a symbol of infinity, unity, and devotion. Set against a backdrop of soft music and tender glances, this intimate moment carries the weight of whispered vows and shared dreams. The rings, often shining with intricate designs or precious stones, become the tangible emblem of their promise to stand by each other through life’s joys and challenges. More than an ornament, the ring is a sacred token of trust, a silent vow that the journey they begin today will be forever bound by love, respect, and unwavering support. This ceremony weaves personal meaning into the vibrant tapestry of the wedding, marking a profound step toward togetherness.
the Seven Vows (Saptapadi) and Hawan ritual
At the heart of every Indian wedding lies the sacred ritual of Saptapadi, where the bride and groom take seven solemn vows together, walking step-by-step around the sacred fire, Agni. Each vow symbolizes a promise — to nurture love, respect, and partnership throughout their life. These seven vows cover commitment to mutual support, health, prosperity, family, fidelity, friendship, and lifelong devotion. The Hawan ceremony, performed alongside, involves offerings into the fire, invoking divine blessings and purity. Fire, revered as the eternal witness, sanctifies their union, making their marriage a sacred covenant. Together, the seven vows and the Hawan form the spiritual core of the wedding, binding two souls in a lifelong journey of love, trust, and harmony.
