Rakesh & Roopam's story
“Our Story – A Love Rooted in Culture” We both come from humble village roots — where life is simple, but hearts are full of love and deep tradition. I now work in the city, but my soul still belongs to the soil that raised me. Roopam is a reflection of everything beautiful in Indian culture — her smile carries warmth, and her nature reflects the grace of tradition. Our bond wasn’t born out of noise, but through quiet understanding and shared values. Our wedding is not just the union of two hearts, but a celebration of Indian heritage. It will be filled with the golden glow of haldi, the joy of mehendi, the energy of a traditional baraat, and the sacredness of seven vows around the holy fire. Every ritual, every meal, every song will speak of our roots and rich culture. We warmly invite you to be part of this soulful celebration and bless the beginning of our journey. With love, Roopam & Me

Ganesh puja and haldi
Ceremonies of Blessings – Ganesh Puja & Haldi Every sacred journey begins with Lord Ganesha. Our wedding will open with a heartfelt Ganesh Puja, inviting divine blessings to remove obstacles and guide us with wisdom. In our village, this ritual brings peace, togetherness, and deep cultural connection — the perfect start to our new life. Following this, we’ll celebrate the vibrant Haldi ceremony — a joyful ritual where turmeric paste is applied to the bride and groom by loved ones. It's not just tradition; it’s love, laughter, and yellow-stained cheeks glowing with blessings. In our culture, Haldi brings purity, protection, and a golden glow of happiness. These ceremonies are not mere customs — they are prayers, celebrations, and memories wrapped in the colors of tradition. Come, be a part of these heartfelt moments and bless our sacred union.

Sangeet and mehandi
Mehendi & Sangeet – Colors, Music, and Memories Our wedding celebrations would be incomplete without the joy of Mehendi and Sangeet — two vibrant traditions filled with laughter, colors, and music. The Mehendi ceremony is where the bride’s hands and feet are adorned with beautiful henna designs, believed to bring prosperity, love, and good luck. Surrounded by women singing folk songs, the air fills with fragrance, giggles, and teasing — a cherished gathering of sisters, mothers, and friends. As evening falls, the Sangeet comes alive — a night of dancing, music, and celebration where both families unite through rhythm and joy. From traditional folk tunes to energetic Bollywood beats, this night celebrates love not with words, but with steps, smiles, and shared emotions. Together, these events bring hearts closer before the vows are made.

Barat
The Baraat – A Royal Journey of Joy The Baraat is not just a procession — it's a grand celebration of love, pride, and tradition. It marks the groom’s royal arrival to the bride’s doorstep, accompanied by dancing relatives, vibrant music, and unmatched excitement. In our village, the Baraat is filled with colorful turbans, dhol beats, and laughter echoing through the streets. Family, friends, and well-wishers join hands to dance their hearts out, announcing the arrival of the groom in full desi style — often on a beautifully decorated horse or vehicle, guided by the rhythm of tradition. It’s a moment of joy, togetherness, and cultural pride — a journey that brings two families closer before the sacred vows. We invite you to be a part of this spirited celebration, where every step is a beat of love and every smile a blessing.
