Engagement and Haldi Ceremony
Engagement (Sakharpuda) Sakharpuda is the formal engagement ceremony where both families exchange sweets (usually sugar or sakhar) as a sign of acceptance. The bride is gifted a saree and symbolic items from the groom's family. It marks the beginning of wedding festivities and is filled with joy, blessings, and traditional music. Haldi Ceremony The Haldi function involves applying a paste of turmeric, sandalwood, and rosewater to the bride and groom at their respective homes. It’s believed to purify the body and bring a radiant glow before the big day. Friends and family gather, sing traditional songs, and enjoy a fun, playful atmosphere.

Wedding
